Building A House: Journal – Part 13

Tearing Down And Building Up

I was not sure if it was an appropriate time for a house building post, but the Lord showed me otherwise. I keep wondering why (oh why, lol) we decided to build our home rather that buying one already built to move right into. God's prefect timing can be frustrating when progress is hindered by drama, pestilence, weather, riots in the cities, you name it. He keeps reminding me that it is His schedule, by the way. I feel like I am preparing for guests that He will bring at just the right time.

I have had many of my belongings in storage for so long that I hardly remember what all I have, which means I need to get rid of some stuff. And in addition to the house and the garden, my crazy self decided to get chickens, you know, in case of famine we would have eggs.

And as I am working on this post, one of my dogs did not return from his morning run. So after running around like a headless chicken looking for him I finally found him in the laundry room where I had kept the baby chicks before I took them out to the coop last week. The devil is trying to keep me from writing today. Well guess what, devil, I have a roof and a post! Hah!!! And Halelu Yah!!!

The enemy of God and man, Satan, has been working, very successfully lately, to divide people into opposing groups using politics, media, censorship of truth, age, race, gender, gender confusion, and anything else that keeps us divided. Satan is the author of chaos and confusion which he uses to steal, kill and destroy. BUT GOD takes that momentum to confound the devil's plans to use it for His people, His purposes, and His glory (Genesis 50:20, Romans 8:28) POW!!!

As the world seems to be collapsing before our eyes, we wonder if it is time for the Lord's return. As I was driving the other day, He showed me something encouraging. First I saw a red concrete truck. I notice concrete trucks these days so I made a mental note that construction is taking place. And I did not get interested until a few minutes later when I saw a blue concrete truck. I thought, "Lord, are You speaking to me?" The very next morning I was directed to some scripture. Bear with me here. I did not get pictures of the concrete trucks (I know you're disappointed), so you'll have to take a look at some of my bitties.

Then Yeshua went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And He said to them, "Do you see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down. " ~Matthew 24:1-2

Like I said, "bear with me," He is not taking down my house yet. Think spiritually for a moment. Remember, He is building something.

Yes, eventually the world and the modern church structure will completely come down, yet in the midst of people against people, famines, wars and rumors of wars, pestilences and earthquakes in various places, (Matthew 24) Yeshua is building His kingdom, not a world order under world rule, but His order under His rule. Until He returns, we will be about His business using His Word as the measuring rod of truth and justice, even as the world turns chaotically  against us, His people.

but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven." Now this, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and Godly fear. For Yahweh is a consuming fire. ~Hebrews 12:26-29

For we are God's fellow workers: you are God's field, you are God's building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid a foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is. If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

Do you not know that you (believer) are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.~1 Corinthians 3:9-17

Yes, our physical buildings are important while we're here, but more important is our spiritual ones and using both for His kingdom purposes.
